Business Awards Recognise Region’s Best and Brightest
Phoenix UK Ltd recieve their award
The best and brightest in Porthampton business were on show last night at the 5th Southeast Business Council.
The event, hosted by The Porthampton Bugle, saw 8 businesses walk away with awards from a pool of over 50 from across the region.
All the shortlisted companies were commended for their efforts in building Porthampton’s economy.
Business of the Year went to Innovatech, the aerospace company best known for its work on the Eagle 7 satellite launched in 2006, who have gone on to work on numerous initiatives at a global level.
Ashley Scott, CEO of the industry leading company, was “stunned” by the win, telling the Bugle later “We were up against some really fierce competition; I honestly didn’t think we would get it.”
Also of note were Phoenix UK Ltd, who received the Southeast Business Development Award for their work turning around numerous businesses in the area. Southeast Business Council Chairman, Mitchell Lane, who presented the award commented “they have had a direct impact on the economic landscape of the region, and we are happy to recognise Phoenix UK for their work within our community.”
